Our extensive experience has made us a leading company in the manufacture of ski moulds, and a specialist in plastic injection blow tools, technical ceramic tools, and high-precision engraving tools.
1979
Miran Zupančič starts a craft trade called "Kovinoplastika Zupančič" (Zupančič Plastic Metal).
The company’s primary activity is thermoplastic injection moulding for cosmetic and advertising industries.
1980
We leave our business premises in Šmartno pri Ljubljani, which had become too small, and move to Domžale. The craft trade gradually grows, when Miran is joined by his wife, Marija, the company’s Head of Finance.
1983
The company expands its business activity to the fields of optical and electricity industries.
1985
We move from Domžale to our new premises in Mengeš and begin manufacturing thermoplastic processing tools for our own needs.
1989
We open the second private store in the then Yugoslavia, called "ALF šport" (ALF Sports). The Zupančič spouses found the company PLAMTEX d.o.o..
1991
Apart from our main activities (manufacture and trade), we begin to participate in the Slovenian automobile sport with our own team.
1992
The PLAMTEX Sports team wins the first of seven State Champion titles.
1993
We purchase our first CNC plastic injection blow tool. The company is expanding its business activities, also on the rise are the number of employees, and the number of clients and products.
1996
We become the official representative of the world-renowned sports equipment manufacturer COLMAR for Slovenia and Croatia.
1998
We also become a representative for the ENIGMATIX by MEDIMA sports underwear.
2000
Due to a lack of space and a large amount of work, the company decides to move to bigger premises.
2003
We move our business to a new location in Kamnik. We invest in an all-new 1500 m2 5-axis milling centre, two thermoplastic injection moulding machines, 13 processing machines for the manufacture of tools, a 3D measuring machine, software, measuring instruments, etc., and hire qualified personnel. All the investments in the year 2003 amount to approximately 1.1 million EUR. We also achieve the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
2005
The entire tool making activity is adapted to the Erowa clamping system (before, we only used the Erowa system for the clamping of electrodes). The repositioning of the processing centre, wire and sink erosion, and the 3D measuring machine is now 0.002 mm. Our selection of tools includes 1,500 clamping palettes.
2006
We invest in a central dosage and drying system, robots, and 2 additional thermoplastic injection moulding machines.
2008
We invest in a high-tech electrical Fanuc Roboshot thermoplastic injection moulding machine with a robot, the latest CNC Jung profile grinding machine, and the new Fanuc wire erosion machine.
